Wednesday 26th September was European Day of Languages. All pupils and staff came to school dressed in the colours of the French flag- red, white and blue. Everyone had fun making human flags which contained these colours- Switzerland, Monaco, Canada etc. At break time the pupils were able to sample French snacks- croissant, pain au chocolat and crepes. It was a great day and the pupils enjoyed speaking French, German and Spanish! Can you guess the flags below?

Forest School Day
Thursday 13th September was our first Forest School Day. This was the first time our P1 pupils and Aryaan in P2 had been at Fairy Gate Wood. All pupils arrived dressed perfectly for the outdoors. Everyone had a great day. The activities were whittling, laundry and toast making.P4-7 pupils led the group activities. A wonderful lunch of toasted sandwiches was served around the campfire.

The new Parent Council held their first meeting on Monday 3rd September.

Funding plans: Lots of discussion on ideas for potential workshops etc
Communication: The Parent Council to send a letter out asking the parents how they wish to receive communication from the Parent Council.
