Pupil Council

This year’s Pupil Council is comprised of all pupils from P4-7.

The first meeting was held on Tuesday 27th August. Mrs Wood and Mrs Orr attended the meeting too. The main item on the agenda was to decide on the role of the pupil council. It was agreed that the council should:

  • organise parties at Hallowe’en and Christmas
  • advertise events happening in school
  • fundraise for charities and the school

Mrs Orr set the council a challenge. She told them that as a school they would be going to see The Lion King in Edinburgh next year. She asked if they would be willing to do some fundraising to go towards this outing.

It was decided that, as the big class were doing a topic on Roald Dahl books “Scrumdiddlyumptious”, then the school could take part in a Roald Dahl fund raising day. The pupil council will plan, advertise and organise the day and any money raised will go towards the outing to Edinburgh. Watch this space for more information on the event.
