Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day

On 11th November at 11am the pupils and staff held a 2 minute silence to remember those who have fought and lost their lives in conflict.

At the end of the silence a video of The Last Post was played. This video was provided by Mr Johnstone, teacher of the The Youth Music Initiative. The video featured pupils from South Lanarkshire Council.

Our Crop, Our Land

P4-7 are hard at work on their new topic “Or Crop, Our Land”. The pupils have invented a cash crop called The All Rounder. They have created a fictional farming community called Croptopia. They have created farming families and have written biographies about each family. The children are enjoying the topic and looking forward to finding out what happens to this farming community.

Hallowe’en at Crawford Primary

As we could not have a “normal” Hallowe’en party in school we decided to have a fun Dress Down Day.

All the children came to school in casual clothes. They decorated pumpkin biscuits and made slime. We had an outside party and played games like Hallowe’en Corners, Musical Statues and Musical Chairs.Mrs Nunes, as usual, did a bit of cheating in that game.

We all had a fun time and were then looking forward to Hallowe’en in our village.
