P1-3 have transformed their classroom into Fairyland. Here are the castle and beanstalk they have created.
Here are the pupils of P1-3. They are at a birthday party for the Lonely Giant. You can see they are all raising their glasses to say cheers. They had the party as part of their Fairyland Topic. Every week they read a different book and do lots of fun activities. Watch this space for more photos of what they have been up to.
It was great to see all pupils and staff returning to school after the Lockdown and then the Summer break.
Everyone is happy to be back and all working hard so far. The curricular focus for this term is Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing.
P1-3 have started a Fairyland topic and P4-7 are doing a unit study based on the book “The Stick Man with the Bug Bum” by Jonny Staples. Both classes are enjoying the activities in class and outdoors.

Due to Covid 19 all schools in Scotland are closed for the foreseeable future.
The pupils of Crawford Primary School went home with Home Learning Packs made up by their teachers. They all have access to Google Classrooms too.The teachers are assigning extra tasks in the online classrooms and pupils are busy and hard at work.
Keep working hard boys and girls and keep active by doing your Daily Mile. Stay safe and stay home.We hope to see you all back in school very soon.
Monday 9th March was our latest Forest School Day at Fairy Gate Wood. All pupils and staff walked to the wood and after the health and safety checks, took part in a fun filled day.
The pupils made popcorn over the campfire, built giant nests and created journey story sticks. Lunch was enjoyed around the campfire. This was followed by marshmallow toasting. At the end of the day there was time for freeplay which is always a big hit.
A big tidy up and then the walk home. It was a cold day but the children were too busy and well clad to even notice!
P4-7 travelled to Lanark Race Course to take part in the annual Small School Cross Country event. The whole team had been training well and did their very best on the day. Well done to everyone.
The P7 team of boys got the gold medal and the P7 team of girls got the bronze medal. Well done to them!
All that hard work was worth it.
A big thank you to everyone who donated 20ps in smartie tubes. The grand total of £476.08 was raised. This is an amazing total for 22 pupils. This money will be added to the pot for the Lion King theatre visit. Well done everyone!
P1-4 has been working on an enterprise topic this week. They created a company “Fruit Troops” which provided tubs of fruit for sale every playtime this week. They prepared the fruit tubs and took orders before selling them to staff and pupils at playtimes. The money raised will go in the “Lion King” pot.Well done P1-4.
